This week, we are focusing on Responsibility by helping the students understand time management and personal responsibility.
On Monday, we had each person create calendars for October - December 2022 and write down all of the things they are doing throughout each month.
Some of them were excited to do this and others weren't (primarily because they said they already have calendars at home).
In the end, it was a good exercise so they can visually see their schedule and ensure they aren't over-scheduled.
Additionally, we started a chore list so each person can be responsible for some clean-up at the program office. None of the students was overly thrilled about this, but between the 10 kids, they accomplished in 20 minutes what takes Katie and Angela several hours. That was great teamwork!
